Tie-Dyed Head!

Yep....it is a tie-dyed head.

Learn to love color!

Even when it is in an unusual place.

Quilting With Felt!

My latest hotel project!

One of my most recent visits to Florida I discovered a wonderful quilting store, "Rainbow's End".  Adjacent to oodles of fantastic bolts of fabric, there was a small felt room.  So many beautiful colors and shades of felt....who knew?  I was so excited to make something!

Felt is one of my favorite fabrics (?) to work with, but I have never seen but simple primary colors at my local fabric store.  I've found cool colors online, but have not placed an order...colors are so deceiving online.  But there it was a wall of cubbies full of vibrant colored felt.  Very new and fresh...not vacation bible school-ish.

Much more to show soon....

Knitting Mill Antiques!

Much 'phoofing' to do in my antique booth.  If you have not been to Knitting Mill Antiques...you are missing out!  No doubt one of the most interesting places to kill a couple of hours.  I go in there pretty often and constantly see something new.

I have added new junk and art!

The hanging rectangular rack is a baby crib box springs.  It works perfectly for a display piece.  Only $2 at a yard sale!

Open Spaces!

I do not live in a thriving metropolis (i.e. New York City, Atlanta), but I do live in a wonderful southern city, Chattanooga.  I grew up in the middle of many acres of beautiful farm land, but have spent the last few decades in various charming neighborhoods.  So, when I go home and see this much open space it is quite breath taking.  The layers of color I see every day are generally obstructed with buildings, houses, telephone poles and billboards, but the layers of color you see on the farm are all free from man made obstructions.  It is beautiful.  Never take for granted the beauty of nature.

Off Center!

It has been a while since I have stepped into blog land...and I feel a little rusty.  Actually, the picture above represents where and how I feel...leaning a little and completely off center.  Whew!  The past few days have been focused toward getting my creative world back to center.

Due to daughter activities I have been in a hotel room for the past three days.  It has been fantastic!  No laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping or chores of life.  Just me, my sewing machine, laundry basket of creative supplies, free coffee all day long, beautiful view of the swimming pool and endless episodes of "Toddlers and Tiaras", "Law and Order", Real Housewives of ?" and "Hoarders".  Due to the unnecessary need of intellectual involvement needed to view such television, my brain has been wide open to creative freedom.  Love it!

I think my house is about to get centered.
Yea!
