Free Motion Sewing!

I know I am ions behind in the sewing world...but, free motion sewing has always been one of my "want to do" activities.  Accidentally, the other night I was cleaning out the mechanics of my sewing machine and I knocked the doo-dad that is the sewing guide off (please attempt to follow my technical descriptions please).  With this doo-dad off....I decided to see what would happen if I started sewing.

EPIPHANY.....HARK!
This is what you do for free motion sewing.  Wow...had no idea.

I immediately went through two bobbins of thread and one spool.
FUN...FUN!

I started with this remnant of brown felt that blossomed into a bird on a plant....no clue.

Then, I started a flower that became a pocket to nothing.

It was fantastic!  Rogue sewing!
Loved it!
Highly recommend.

I love what you did!! I have a sewing machine, but have never really used it. Sewing makes me a little crazy, but I am really wanting to get it out and use it in crafting. Thanks for the inspiration.

Wowsers! I am only doing loop-d-loops. Am going to have to give it a try. First I need to buy some more needles.
