One of my biggest was a heartwarming and enlightening experience with

The Salvation Army!

After a few horror stories of bell ringers stealing the red kettle funds, I had taken a hardened opinion of the process...NO MORE!  I became enlightened.  Yes, bad things happen...yes, there are some scums out there....but, a BIG YES to the good that happens with these funds to many in our community.  I will keep the good The Salvation Army provides for families at the top of mind this year!

Celebrate and remember the good.

Had a little stomach virus hit the household on Christmas Eve!  Ahhhhhh!  The washing machine has not stopped...a large number of Lysol and hand sanitizer cans and bottles are flying through this house from every angle.  Purex is in every load of everything!  I am currently the lone survivor!  Keep fingers crossed!

This is my latest Christmas gift for all my peeps.  Simple black tote with a vintage quilt square stitched to the side.  Dangling from the handle is a wood puzzle piece.  Really cute to use for groceries, hobbies, and just about anything.  Very durable! Handmade and quite useable.

It is hard to part with my quilt squares...but, just this one!

Shared a yummy meal with friends tonight!  We all laughed and filled our tummies in such a fun way.  Nothing better or healthier than sharing good food and friendship.

This little art does remind me a wee bit of the holidays, for it is a time when families....or generations get together.  I loved this old photograph!  I myself am an only child, so I don't have the pleasure of a first hand understanding of the relationship between siblings, but some how I observe a hint of "bossy pants" with the chick leaning over Mom.  I think she is the Mommy of the baby in Grandma's lap, and she feels the need to constantly give instruction to everyone.  I sense uber attitude.  And...I also feel the Mom and sister (on left) are quite capable of lifting the force field and totally repelling anything "bossy pants" has to say.  

I guess this whole scenario above is why I love photography.  The flat one dimensional image gives me the ability to invent any story I want.  The reality is unlikely to be determined and my opinion can have no boundaries.  Cerebral visual creativity.
